Only a month has passed since eBay and OneOf joined hands to promote Web3. The worldwide eCommerce giant announced a strategic partnership with the Web3 company in May. The collaboration paved the path for the release of new NFT collectibles.
In addition, eBay lent its unmatched inventory and worldwide reach to OneOf for building a seamless Web3 experience. As the companies work together, users will be able to buy and trade high-value items safely.
eBay’s VP of collectibles, home, and electronics, Dawn Block, discussed the partnership. As per Dawn, eBay and OneOf’s collaboration makes NFTs more accessible to a new section of collectors. It shows the dedication of eBay customers and sellers toward high-value goods.
The initial NFT collectibles generated from the partnership will include Genesis, featuring 3D and animated interpretations of athletes featured on Sports Illustrated covers. Wayne Gretzky, the record-breaking hockey legend from Canada, will feature in the first illustration for the collectibles.
As things progress, the companies will make the collectibles even more appealing. Now, with OneOf bringing SLAM-GIRL to Polygon, one of the biggest platforms, the collaboration will gain a massive boost.
